My first attempt at couponing

So yesterday I had my first attempt at couponing. I think it went pretty well, for not really knowing what I am doing. So I got all these 25 items for $34.60. Which averages out to make each item $1.38 each. I know I could have gotten a better deal, but my printer is broken and so I couldn't print some of the coupons. The deal ended yesterday so I couldn't wait. The best part is that with all my coupons I saved $33.94. I was so excited. Most of the items are normally $3-5 each. Hopefully I will get better at this, not bad for my first time. Also thanks to Heidi and Tessa for their helpful tips on couponing.

Good for you! I am sorry for not bringing the info to you-either I would forget, or it would be too late to come over. I still have it, but I am sure you got the same info from both Tessa and Heidi.

So where did you get the coupons?

You should blog about how you get the coupons. I have this crazy dream of using coupons and getting great deals, but it is harder than it looks. Give us some tips.

I got all the coupons from the sunday newspaper. There are a couple sites that you can print coupons from. Called Moneysavingmom.com and couponmom.com. (I think those are the URL's)

This is Tyson's friend Marie from high school. I use this awesome website called Grocery Smarts http://www.grocerysmarts.com/
To log in you use the code g84cjf (that code is for Utah only).
It gives you all the stores in the area and tells you where they are on sale and where to find the coupons, it even gives you the link to print out coupons as well. If you haven't used this, you should check it out.

This looks so cool. I can't wait to try it. I love finding good deals. In Albertson's add the other day I got 10 items for 10 bucks. It was great. Cereal, poptarts, cookies and crackers.
