No more helmet

Cameron went back yesterday to check his head and get scanned again. Cameron's head looks great. Normally kids wear the helmets for 3-4 months and he only had it for a total of 2 months. We are still going to do it at night since it still fits and until we go back to the plastic surgeon to check it, but it will be nice to not worry about it in the hot day time.

I know a lot of people said it looked fine, which I agree, he did. BUT to see the huge difference it made is amazing. His forehead no longer sticks out and the sides of his head are not poking out and his head is pretty symetrical. Not to mention the flatness in the back is so much better. I am so glad that we decided to do it. He sure looked cute in the helmet, but I am glad it is off. Now he can wear hats again and I can see his cute face.

Muffin Tin Monday

This week there was no theme, and I did not plan very well ahead of time. So.... We did sandwiches. I decided to let her make her own sandwich.

Brooklynn thought that was pretty cool. She made it big too.

She said it was pretty good. So I guess that means not as great as usual. I will just have to be more creative next time. She loved the chips and oreo cookies though.

Whoa! Now that is a big bite. YUM!

Terra we love you, Happy Birthday!

Well my little Sis Terra is having a birthday August 7th, but she will be gone in Germany for school. Originally Ryan teased her that we would have a party for her on her birthday, but of course we wouldn't do that. So last night we celebrated her birthday.

The kids love blowing out the candles with her. Happy Birthday Sis. We love you!

On everyone's birthday my mom always buys cake of the birthday person's choice and then Ryan a white cake. Usually we get a snickers cake (Ry is allergic to peanuts) or chocolate cake and Ry just isn't a big fan. Well it became a habit for her to always buy a white cake too. Ryan and Terra fight like brother and sister. Okay I shouldn't say fight, tease each other like brother and sister. Terra insisted that he wasn't going to get a white cake this year. So they hid the white cake and only had a german chocolate. Ryan noticed and teased her that she didn't love him. Well later she brought up the white cake and had that written on it. They are silly.

I will miss Terra for the month that she is going to be gone. I worry about her and she agrees that she is horrible with directions and knows that she will get lost more than a few times. I am so proud of her and glad that she is brave and doing these wonderful things, but I still get worried. I called her this morning and reminded her to not talk to strangers and be careful. Of course I know she will be fine and I was just teasing her. We all know I am a worry wort and over protective. So I was just showing her my love. I will miss her over the next month and who am I going to call when I get bored and am driving. (It drives her nuts! She doesn't like to talk on the phone much.)

Muffin Tin Sauces and Dips

This weeks theme is sauces and dips. So she had crackers to dip in cheese sauce, celery with ranch, grapes with yogurt, graham crackers with chocolate frosting and bread with honey butter. YUMMY!

Brooklynn loves to dip stuff so this was perfect. She ate it all up!

Do I have anything on my face? It's okay she looks cute with a chocolate mustache.

From 2 kids to four ; ages 4 and under...

Last week I babysat for our friends. I was a little nervous to have a 4 year old, 3 year old, an 8 month old and a 9 month old. But I was willing to try. It went great, better than expected. I couldn't believe that I was able to have 4 kids 4 and under for almost 4 hours without any crying, fights and tantrums. (Well Brooklynn got upset at the very end, but they were already on their way home. Let's just not count that one.) Not to mention Ryan was sleeping and we didn't wake him up early, I made dinner, ate dinner, cleaned up and got Ryan sent off to work.

I set up some sprinklers for the girls. They loved it and got along great. They were silly playing on the swings and in the water.

I drenched them in sunscreen and they enjoyed their popsicles as they were basking in the sun.

I am sorry Heidi, Cameron is a bad example. He taught Ethan how to open cupboards and get everything out. They both loved it and were just having a great time. We had fun and the kids loved playing. Also there is a video below of my cute little stinker. Enjoy!

My little thief

Every time I gave Ethan some more cereal it was like clockwork, Cameron waited for a perfect moment and stole some from him. Little stinker but it was kinda silly.

Muffin Tin Monday and Uh oh Spagetti O!

These are clear from Monday... I am not as good at uploading as I use to.

This week for Muffin Tin Monday I followed the schedule from a group of bloggers who do it and post their lunches. The theme was big/little. So we had a little muffin tin and a big cup to drink out of. Brooklynn's lunch was Big crackers/ little crackers, Big noodle salad/ little noodles, big fruit (bananas)/little fruit (craisens),Big caramel marshmellows/little mini marshmellows.

Brooklynn loves the "Grandma Crackers" (Triscuts) Her grandma Oldroyd always has those and loved the chicken salad (she even had 3rds of it.) and told me the big marshmellows are "Asgusting" (disgusting). Here is the web site that posts all the Muffin Tin Mondays and give the upcoming themes, I have followed them a few times, but I like to have it go along with a book. http://michellesjournalcorner.blogspot.com/2009/07/muffin-tin-monday-theme-biglittle.html

This is what happens when Brooklynn dresses herself. What a cutie she is. She was also trying to catch bugs. I told her that she looked like a super hero and she told me. "No, I not Super Girl. I am Brooklynn." Shows what I know huh?

Cameron cut two teeth a couple weeks ago and he is getting so big. We are starting to experiment with more food. We tried Spagetti and he wasn't quite sure about it. He really prefers his mommy for dietary needs. I am doing better at not giving in and finally got brave and let him cry at night. The first night he cried for 30 minutes and slept 9 hours. The second night he slept about 7 hours woke up crying and only cried for 10 minutes going back to sleep for another 4 hours. And da-da-da-da... Last night he slept 11 hours, no waking up, no crying just a cute sleepy cuddly boy.

It is so hard for me to let him cry, I just spoiled him too much. But who wouldn't with a cute face like this.

I wanna be a cowgirl...

Last Saturday we went to Nanci's mom and dad's to ride horses. We had so much fun.

My cute little Cameron happily awaiting for his turn.

Cute Savannah loved riding horses and had a blast. She wanted to keep getting on. The next morning I heard she woke up and said "Go ride horses?"

Brady is a pro on the horses. He even took Brooklynn for a ride.

Gracie and Nanci riding Hearts. She is definately a cowgirl and is a darn cute one.

Jeff took Cam on the horse. This picture looks scary, but Cameron was fine.

Kassie loves riding horses and isn't scared one bit.

Brooklynn has been asking for a long time when she can go ride Nanci's horse and she finally got to.

Here is a better picture that isn't as scary as the last one. Cameron is so cute, but he really didn't care about the horse.

Ryan's sister Allyson took a ride on it too! Go Ally!

Doesn't Jeff look cute in Gracie's hat.

Alex isn't too enthusiastic about riding, but I think she still had fun.

Eric and Abbie taking the horse for a spin. Abbie surprised me, she was a little nervous to get on. But she still did great.

Danielle took Chase and he had fun. What a great time we had. I did take a ride but didn't get a picture. It was a fun night and great BBQ.

Oquirrh Temple

Last night I had the opportunity to go and clean the Oquirrh Temple. My friend in my ward drove with me and we got there at 10pm and we cleaned all the windows and mirrors. It was so neat and beautiful. We finished around 11:00 and then we mopped the floors. After that I went out and found out that Cameron woke up and was screaming. Ryan would go and comfort him and let him cry and luckily it only lasted about 30 minutes. We waited at the temple to get a private tour and they let us just walk around and look at the rooms, until everyone was ready. Kaydee and I made our way to the Celestial room and it was amazing. We went in there 3 different times and each time my heart just started pounding. The spirit you felt was amazing. We stayed in there in seperate parts and didn't talk to each other and had about 10 minutes to ourselves. I looked around and just knew that people that love me were there with me. I just knew that Heavenly Father knows everything that I am going through. Even though sometimes things are hard and we don't know what decisions to make, it will be ok. After everyone was ready and the temple was spotless we got a tour and he even led us down to the bottom of the baptismal font where the oxen are. It was amazing. It was a great feeling and wonderful experience and I am so glad that I had that opportunity. And thanks honey for staying home with the kids and listening to a screaming baby while I went.

4th of July Weekend

Happy Independance Day! Ryan had to work the day before so when he got home in the morning myself and the kids went to our neighborhood breakfast while he showered and got ready. Afterwards we were off to St. George. The Oldroyd's have a timeshare and so we try to go 1-2 times every year. Everyone was able to come down this time except Jeff and Nanci had to work, we sure missed them.

Look at my cute little man in his Red, white and blue. He is a cutie. I love holidays and especially getting way into them. (It's my mom's fault, we always celebrated everything.) My brothers like to tease me and say... "I am surprised you don't put sparklers in Brooklynn's hair." Well that sure would be cute, dangerous, but cute.

There is Brooklynn, I couldn't find any cute girl flag clothes so I made this little skirt. It's not the best sewing job, but she pulls it off.

At the condo there is a little pond that you can fish in. The kids had a lot of fun trying. Brooklynn really wanted to catch a fish.

Tyler was really into it. He looked like a pro.

This is just a silly picture, Kassie kept blowing big bubbles.

Poor Sannah was so scared of the fireworks. Grandpa Oldroyd kept covering her ears and walked her around. Eventually she fell asleep and they used Alex as their pillow.

Cameron wasn't too sure about the fireworks.

Watching fireworks. It was hard to go from Salt Lake's fireworks to St. George. They aren't as extravagant and a lot shorter. It was still fun, except the ride back to the condo. Cameron cried about 20 minutes of it.

Brooklynn loved swimming and going behind the waterfall. It is so nice that she can swim anywhere in the pool with her lifejacket on.

Swimming made the 106 temperature worth it. We had a lot of fun.

Cute Savannah swimming in the pool.

I was so sad, I forgot Cameron's swimming suit. But he still looked cute and loved the water. It did take him a minute to get used to it though.

Me and my boy! He is such a snuggler.

We went to the St. George Temple on Sunday night. Brooklynn asked where Angel Moroni was. Brooklynn knows that on all the temple's that she sees there is Angel Moroni. There are 9 temples with out Angel Moroni and after talking to the man at the visitors center, there isn't a real reason that is known of why some do not have it.

Brooklynn loved all the exhibit's and model homes. She loves learning about church stuff.

It was fun seeing the temple and walking around as a family.

On Monday it was Ryan's mom's birthday. So we decided to celebrate. We ended up going to the Pizza factory mostly cause we knew it was easier for Brooklynn rather than a nice restaurant, then we had gotten a cheesecake.

When we were eating Brooklynn said, "Hey, we have to sing Happy Birthday. So we sang to her.

We had a blast in St. George and loved spending time as a family. Even though there was some illnesses, wetting pants, tantrums and then some... It was awesome.
