My cute boy

After about 4 months of sleeping therapy and talking to Cameron's Pediatrician, a Plastic Surgeon and getting the measurments taken, our little guy is going to be wearing a helmet for a few months. As we were making the decision we talked to 3 people who's kids all had a helmet and they said that it was the best decision that they made and have no regrets. We are very happy with our decision and are thankful for all the support and advice.

This is a picture at the prostetic place getting all the measurements. The doctor was surprised that Cameron's numbers were higher than they appear by looking at him. Cameron was a great sport and it only took two tries to get the scan done.

This picture was yesterday, only his first day wearing the helmet. So far so good, he only had to wear it for 1 hour on and 1 hour off.
Today we started 4 hours on and 1 hour off and he is doing great again today. In a few days he will be wearing it for 23 hours a day. It is so funny Brooklynn has heard us talk about the helmet before and everytime he is standing up and falls she says. "We really need to get your helmet." It is so true, this kid is ready to walk and I think with this helmet he will be more daring since he can't bump his head anymore. Also Brooklynn keeps asking when she gets to get her princess helmet. (She was wearing Abbie's bike helmet and really wants one.) Although he gets more mad when I take it off then when I put it back on. That is the biggest thing people told me, that babies actually like it and hate taking it off. I am so glad that he likes wearing it and he just looks so darn cute.

We had a busy week last week...

We did something almost every day last week. No wonder I am so tired and don't want to do anything this week. Well my nephew Chase is turning 2 years old so we went to take his pictures and got some cute ones of everyone. So here they are enjoy!

Tyler, he looks innocent doesn't he? Just kidding, I love you Ty.

Here are the kids in front of a barn.

Cameron wasn't too smiley today but look how big he is, and it was a really big tire.

Katie is my model neice, she looks so old. She is a doll.

Here is Chase, I can't believe he is going to be 2 next week.

Brooklynn would not smile for anything, but it turned out really cute.

Abbie is going to be just like her sister, such a cute little model.

Another shot of all the kids at Wheeler farm. We had a fun day!

Family hike

Last Tuesday Ryan was home and we decided to go on a hike up Rose Canyon in Herriman. So we packed some lunches and headed out.

Hmmm, do you think they get sick of me taking pictures?

I know I hate my picture taken, that is why I like to be the picture taker.

So cute, what cute boys I have. Cameron loved being outside and was so curious looking around.

Brooklynn was trying to throw the rocks across the water. She loves playing outside, but she did take a break to clean out her toes. Brooklynn hates her feet to get dirty and even cleans out her brother's toesies.

It was a fun day out with the fam, I love this nice weather.

Zoo Fun!

Our Zoo pass expires in one week so we went twice last week.

Brooklynn went with Her cousin Caleb, Aunt Terra and Amy a girl that Terra works for and takes care of. We had so much fun, we left Cameron home with Grandma Bean so we got to do more.

Brooklynn and Caleb loved the Carousel. Brooklynn had to be on the giraffe, they are her favorite animal. Well at least this week they are.

We also went with some friends, The Browns, Kemenies and Hillmans. When we were at the zoo we ran in to our neighbors the Fransons, so we got to enjoy it with them as well.
After lunch the kids decided to play hide and seek, Ellie counted to 100. Even with all that time she found Brooklynn really fast.

Cameron and Chase are so big, and cute together. We had so much fun, it will be sad not to have our Zoo pass. But we will probably get a pass to somewhere different, just to do something new. In fact we do have a pass to the aquarium. We'll have to go there again soon.
Thanks everyone who went with us to the Zoo.

Cameron Crawling

Cameron does not like to sit still. He started rolling over pretty early, at least compaired to Brooklynn. And then he started crawling. It is really cute, it kinda looks like a little froggy hopping.

Way to go Ryan!

On Saturday Ryan ran the Ogden Marathon. This was his 5th Marathon, but it's been over 2 years since he has ran one. Ryan was really excited but also nervous.
He did great! Ryan got 2nd place in his age group between 25-29 and out of 1700 people Ryan got 18th place overall. How awesome is that. I guess Brooklynn's good luck card and present helped. :) Good job, we love you Ryan!

Happy Anniversary Ryan!

Today is our 8 year anniversary. I can't believe it's already been 8 years. Even though Ryan always teases me "It's been 8 LONG years." Though we've had our share of hard times, they have still been wonderful and I love Ryan so much. I am so grateful for everything that he does for me, which is a lot. (He is a great house-husband)I am so thankful that together we have two beautiful, crazy, sweet children. I know that with out Ryan I never would have been able to go through some really tough times. No matter what it is Ryan is always there for me. So I made this little slide show showing some of our fun moments in the last 8 years. I have a ton more pictures but most were before the digital camera times. I love what my friend has on her blog so I am borrowing it... Happily annoying each for 8 years and an eternity to go... I love you so much Ryan

Muffin Tin Monday

For Muffin Tin Monday we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Winnie the Pooh ABC's Brooklynn had a sandwich shaped as the letter L and one shaped as the letter D, a pickle shaped as the letter l and letter crackers and some chocolate chips for dessert.

She loves Muffin Tin Mondays and she eats so good.

I just had to add this picture showing sibling love. Cameron always attacks her and slobbers all over. So cute!

Happy (late) Mothers Day!

Mother's day is always a nice day to celebrate being a mother and reflect upon those mother's in your life. I feel so blessed to have my two sweet kids. I am grateful that though it was a hard road, it was worth it to get what I have now. For Mother's Day Ryan started a tradition 3 years ago and he always buys me flowers for the yard. I love this because I seem to put off the yard awhile.Ryan also attempted to make me breakfast, but realized we didn't have any syrup. He is always so sweet, he wrote me the sweetest card (ashe always does). I had a great Mother's Day!
Ryan, Brooklynn and I put all the flowers in the back yard and had fun gardening together. Brooklynn is a good helper but after we put the flowers in the hole and cover it back with dirt. She thinks we are suppose to smash the flower down for some reason. She is so cute!
Cameron enjoyed watching us garden and was very happy being outside for quite awhile. What a little cutie he is.
I am very grateful for many women in my life and have so many wonderful examples. This year for Mother's Day I used an item we made at our Super Saturday and gave them to our moms. I also cut up a bunch of my tulips and gave them to my sisters-in-law and my sister for Mother's Day.I love being a mom, it is a lot of work and I stress out sometimes. But it is the greatest thing I have been able to do. I Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day as well!

Saturday

Saturday morning I went with some friends Heidi, Charlotte and Jessica to do the Race for the Cure. I haven't gone before and really wanted to go and support it. We lost Ryan's aunt 2 years ago to Breast Cancer and I was close with her and love her so much. We would always go stay with her in St. George during the St. George Marathon. We always felt so welcome and had a lot of fun.
Ryan's mom and other aunt Barb are survivors of Breast Cancer. My mother-in-law had her 11 year cancer free anniversary this year. It was really fun to do the race and I loved seeing all the people and their shirts. We had fun. Maybe next year I will attempt to run, probably not, but you never know.

While I did the race, my mom stayed with my kids. I love the picture of Cameron cuddling her. He was almost asleep and then he heard my voice. So after I fed the boy we took Brooklynn to get her haircut at Cookie Cutters. She was so nervous and would NOT smile for the camera. Whenever the girl would go in front of her and didn't have scissors in her hand, Brooklynn sat and talked to her. But immediately would go back to a concerned look. It was a cute place and it was nice that Brooklynn acctually stayed still. We cut 5 inches off her hair, but she looks so much older and very cute.

Zachary's Blessing

A week and a half ago, my nephew Zachary James Dennis was blessed. He is the cutest little thing. They go to a Spanish Branch and my uncle is the Bishop and my brother is the 1st counselor. Luckily the have a translater that you can wear headphones and listen, so we were able to listen to the blessing. But the translater doesn't always say every word so it is easier for me to listen to the Spanish rather than the guy. But it was nice to be there for him and also stay at my mom's for awhile and visit with my family. We love you Zacky!

This is Great Grandma and Grandpa Budd with Brooklynn, Cameron, Caleb and Zachary.

Zoo

We have been to the zoo two times in the last couple weeks. First we went with our friend Liz and her kids Sarah and Steven, also my sister-in-law Danielle came and her kids Abbie, Tyler, Chase and her neice Persaya.(sp) We had a lot of fun. It was really cute to see the kids play and Sarah and Brooklynn get to know each other better. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so I didn't get pictures. But it was still a fun time.

Then last week I went again,I met my sister-in-law Nanci up at the zoo. She took Brooklynn and Gracie around to see the animals, while I took Cameron to a doctor at Primary's. Then after the apt. I met them back at the zoo, we had lunch, saw a few more animals, went on the carosel, train and the kids played on the playground. It was a fun time and I appreciate Nanci for helping me out and coming with us. I love the zoo. I am sad that my pass ends in a few weeks and I don't know if we are getting a new one. It has been great having a pass for the last two years though.
