Happy Mother's Day

I am so lucky to have been blessed with a sweet little girl. I love being a mom and it truly is the hardest job there is but the rewards are endless. It took us so long to get Brooklynn but it was worth the wait.

This picture was taken in our hotel in Washington, waiting 10 days to bring her back home to meet her family.

Now who couldn't love this face? It's hard not to fall for this little thing especially when she say's "PLEEEEEAAAAASE!" with a cute smile.

Brooklynn and me love spending time together and I hope that she will always want to be with me and keep a good relationship.

My mom sent me this in an email, I thought it was beautiful and of course I cried. It is so true. It is amazing how these little people (that sometimes drive you crazy) can bring so much joy.

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on. Pooped on.Chewed on.Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night. Before I was a MomI never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Ryan and I have two great mom's, they both are great examples and friends.

My mom- Janeen Dennis

My mom is a great mom and wonderful grandma. She now has two grandkids and another on the way. She couldn't wait to start having grandkids at one of my wedding showers 7 years ago, she gave me two little baby dolls and said get working. (as a joke of course) But she really couldn't wait. Who would have thought it would be almost 5 years later to get our special Brooklynn. Grandma Bean and Brooklynn have a special bond. And she gets spoiled from her grandma. Brooklynn loves playing with Grandma Bean and especially going outside in the back yard with her. I am so glad that Brooklynn has such a fun wonderful grandma.

I am so thankful for my mom and what a wonderful person she is. She has gone through a lot of trials and stayed strong and close to our Heavenly Father. She always put us kids first. We are all very close to my mom and she is a lot of fun. I have always been able to talk to her about anything and know that she would never judge me. She has a special quality that she gets along with anyone. We love you mom ,I hope I can be as good as a mom and she is.

Ryan's mom- Susan Oldroyd

Susan is a proud grandma of 13 grandkids, and she handles them all so well. Especially when we all ask her to babysit every day of the week. She is always willing to help us out and spend time with the grandkids. Even when we don't ask because we know how much she does it, she offers. Brooklynn loves going over to Grandma Oldroyd's. She thinks that everytime she goes over there she can have a popcycle. And she also loves laying in Grandma's big bed. I am so glad that Brooklynn has such a loving grandma.

Susan is a great mom and an example of someone who can get through anything and continue to strive. As Susan's daughter-in-law she is very kind to us all and always wants to be there for us with whatever we need. I know that all her kids look up to her and love her so much. Ryan is so proud of his mom and we recognize all of her Christ-like qualities. We love you Susan and hope we can be as great of parents as you are.
