Fun Night at our house!

Photobucket

This morning we went to the doctor and found out that Brooklynn has strep for the 4th time in 2 months. They informed me that we came in January 15th, February 15th and now March 15th and all three were positive for strep. Plus she went to the Insta Care February 27th. (They are trying a 3rd different kind of medicine and then when she is better she will be checked to see if she is a carrier as well as probably all of us. She may go to a ENT to talk about a tonsilectomy also.

So I had a fun, sick, lazy night planned for us to watch a movie and relax in jammies so she can feel better. After dinner I cleaned up, vacuumed, swept and mopped. Got the kids settled in pj's (not that Cam ever stays in them). McKenna woke and and was ready to eat cereal. I was just changing her diaper when I heard "cough-cough, Gag" I look up and there is Cam gagging the good ol' Oldroyd gag. But then I noticed something in his mouth. He was chewing on Brooklynn's hair elastic and was choking. I jump up and right when I get to him he throws up all over (my new carpet). I run to get towels to clean him up. Brooklynn (my sweet girl) starts cleaning up the carpet. I get it all cleaned and there is poor little McKenna on the floor- oops I forgot I was changing her diaper. There she was naked. I feel the floor and she didn't pee on it. Thank goodness- she ALWAYS pees whenever I change her. I grap the clean diaper and there she goes. It gets all over the carpet and clean diaper. I grab another washclothe to clean up the pee. Brooklynn yells "Mom, Cam is feeding McKenna" He is feeding her the cereal and bright green peas while she is laying on the carpet gagging.
Finally I get things cleaned up and everyone settled. Kids are watching a movie now. Oh and all three kids have a fever of 99.5 or higher. Phew! I wanna go to bed.

Wow! What a night! I hope everyone is doing better and that you were able to go to sleep early.

I am tired reading about it! We are probably going to be getting Hannah's tonsils out in the next few months. Not looking forward to that. But it is better than dealing with strep every other day, right?!?

When it rains, it pours, right? I'm just impressed that you vacuumed and swept and mopped the floors all after dinner! That's an all day job at my house just because I have to keep on top of the boys to clean up their stuff before I can do it all.

Oh dear! It's all I can do in moments like that to not just laugh out loud because it seems so unbelievable, yet it's really happening. I hope your household starts feeling better soon!
