Random Family Fun

Ryan's cousin Casey got married to Sara Brook and at the wedding Brooklynn got the bouquet. She was so excited. It was fun for her. She kept them in her room forever, until finally a few months later They just kept falling apart. She was so sad, but happy that she got to catch them.

Art is a big part of Brooklynn's life. She decided she wanted to save money for Sea World. She started drawing pictures to sell.

"Starry Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. She did a good job.

Cam and McKenna wanted to join in on the fun.

Brooklynn made this picture of Mater for my cousin Rosa's little boy Dallin who was in the hospital.

It was another nice day and so I made the kids a yummy Spring lunch to eat outside. Cam's had a bike and baseball ball.

Brooklynn chose an umbrella and flower for her sandwich.

McKenna's was two flowers.

The older kids ate their outside and McKenna ate inside with Mommy.

On another occassion we went and got an icecream from Arctic Circle.

Daddy was at work one night and so we made some popcorn in the microwave.

It was so yummy and healthy.

We then watched a movie and snuggled together.

McKenna turned 18 months old. She finally went to nursery.

She loved it and didn't mind if mom and dad left her. :(

Cameron decided that he LOVES to dress up.

These are only two of the many pictures. More to come...

Random January-February

In the winter we read lots and lots of books. Especially on cold winter days. McKenna loves books like the rest of us do.

Dressing up is always a fun past time at our house.

We celebrated the Chinese New Year again this year with some home-made Sweet and Sour Chicken, white rice, egg rolls and poki sticks. YUM! One of our favorite dinners.

For the Chinese New Year we also watched Mulan and talked about chinese traditions.

Cameron was still recovering from surgery and then he got sick with the flu. It was horrible. Poor kid threw up so much. Luckily he learned what to do and usually made it to the bathroom. He was so dehydrated. He watched a lot of movies.

Brooklynn changed from morning Kindergarten to afternoon Kindergarten. She did so much better and made a lot of friends the first day of school. With in a couple days she was even riding the bus by herself. So proud of her and glad she is doing better in school.

Reflections contest.

The reflections contest theme was Diversity Means.... So when I explained what the word diversity was, Brooklynn immediately knew that she wanted to paint a picture of her eyes. In the description she said "Diversity means that everyone is special and different. Even me and my two colored eyes." She did the whole thing. All I helped her with was draw the almond shape with a pencil and she did the rest. She didn't win anything, but I was very proud of her and she is an amazing little artist.
Talented little Berkie! I love this girl.

I can't believe what a talented little girl I have. And she is just so grown up.

My little girl grew up before my eyes

Photobucket
Brooklynn started Kindergarten. I can't believe it, she left me. It was hard, but I know she has to do it. I just have loved being home with Brooklynn for the last 5 1/2 years. Getting to know every detail about my sweet, funny, OCD, artsy, creative girl. She is my bestest little friend. Brooklynn loves people and so thoughtful. She comes home from school and tells me that she is always trying to play with other kids. I love my girl.

Brooklynn has Miss Fullmer and I think it is a perfect fit for her. So far I really like her and Brooklynn loves her. It makes it a better experience for me and Brooklynn that we both like her teacher.

Brooklynn is so happy to have her friend Ashlynn in her class. And they are getting to know so many more kids.
